A Shared Learning Cohort for Curb Management Innovation
The Open Mobility Foundation is pleased to announce that we are accepting interest from cities and public-sector partners from the US, Canada and Europe to join the next Curb Collaborative in 2026. The OMF convened our first Curb Collaborative of cities in 2023 to pilot curb digitization projects using the Curb Data Specification (CDS.)
The Curb Collaborative proved to be an invaluable space for cities to share knowledge, ask questions among peers, and bring new approaches and tactics to their projects and communities. Thanks to the contributions of the first Collaborative, the OMF will soon be releasing its next version of CDS, shaped largely by the real-world implementation experience of the SMART Curb Collaborative cities.
We are excited to build on this momentum and bring together additional cities looking to continue their curb digitization and curb management journey!
What you can expect
Participation in the Collaborative gives you access to a group of cities that are all continuing or beginning curb digitization projects using CDS. Our model prioritizes building relationships with members of a diverse group of cities, giving you the opportunity to build trust, share candidly, and problem solve together.
In addition to regular virtual meetings, a key activity for the next Collaborative is an in-person convening, where members will have a hands-on opportunity to see how another city is implementing their curb program. In addition to a walking tour, these convenings also include ample opportunities to build relationships and learn from each other as well as from experts.
You can learn more about the program and what to expect by reading the program description.
The Curb Collaborative will work closely with OMF partners at the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) and POLIS Network.
How to apply
If you’d like to join the next cohort of the Smart Curb Collaborative, fill out our short interest form by October 31. If you have questions please contact us at leo@openmobilityfoundation.org
